I LOVE NJ!

What an amazing weekend I had stopping first in Gettysburg where my travel buddy, Peter may be part of their summer sculpture festival. We met with the arts group and walked around the beautiful town. This is a photo taken from the battle at Gettysburg. They are dead confederate soldiers. The Civil War was the first conflicts documented extensively by photographers, and the American people saw war in all its realism for the first time. It was really interesting!

Then we met our friend Leon and went to Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton NJ to see the Keith Haring sculpture exhibit they have up now! The grounds were AMAZING! Highly recommended! We hit happy hour at the RATS Cafe, and life was grand.

Saturday was the Albus Cavus 2010 Mural Jam. I went and painted with them in Oct. at the Monster Jam, and couldn't wait to go back. The day was beautiful and so many artist and families came out to paint and play. They had music, face painting, games and even yoga on the lawn at one point. Sun, friends and paint. Can't ask for much more.

And then back to DC for Sunday School with Albus Cavus at the Freezer, where we worked on a Small Walls, Big Imagination project for Union Station. Great kids, great class, great weekend.
