A few years ago I started a project I called Eat Your Heart out. It was a community art/ service project. Read more about it here. I have been talking Bread for the City in trying to make the project a reality and getting food in the bags. Today we had our first paint session at the open farmers market. Awesome weather and great people!
I came across some street art of yours the other day: a caricature of Anne Frank near the Rhode Island / Brentwood metro stop. This piece interested me in particular because I am producing a blog that maps quotations around Washington DC, and the passage there is particularly rich with visual context.
Would you be available for a video or audio interview sometime in the coming weeks? My co-editor and I would love to ask you some questions about your inspiration for this particular piece, your selection of the quote, and your general philosophy on street art. You can contact me (James) through our yet-to-be-launched blog http://cityofwordsdc.org/
Giving thanks.
